Morris: Hi, I tired the trail version of Photo RAW and it did not support my camera. Possibly because of the major version change that they want funds for. The check for software update did not notify me. I sent an email and they sorted out the credit the same day, so like I said, no complaints. In fact one time I mistakenly ordered the wrong software. They appear to be a smallish company, but I've never had an issue. No spam, and I know as soon as an update is available.įWIW, I look at the DxO forum and they are pretty responsive to questions people ask. There is option in settings (I believe) to check for software updates everything you open the program. I like DxO products yet the company treats customers very poorly. They did not notify me that there is a new version. That being said, I’m downloading it now and will see if I’m even more annoyed with spending for a useless/negligible upgrade, or grudgingly note it eases some of the annoyance.
That close to a major release, I can’t recall any company not covering a purchase within a two week window with a free upgrade.
Granted that the intro upgrade price is 79USD, and I got a coupon for 50USD for any purchase I make in the next 45 days, bringing it to 29USD, but still. I bought raw2 two weeks ago and I’m annoyed that I have to buy an update.
